    True or False (Green)

Back Next

This postcard is similar to a Clue (Yellow) , however, teams had three postcards with two choices of locations to work with. The first postcard will ask teams a question, for which teams will either choose True or False for their answer.  The photograph on each of the True or False postcards has been taken within 3 metres of where teams would find their next Clue (Yellow) postcard (if they travel to the correct answer). Both postcards display a genuine location, so to save time, teams must be sure of their answer. One clue (True) will lead teams to a new Clue postcard. The second clue (False) led teams to an incorrect location were they will find nothing (not even an 'Organiser'). The True or False clues are located within two kilometres of each other, so teams have time to catch up if they make a mistake.

The following are some examples of a True or False (Green) clue to better illustrate the purpose of this postcard...

The first of the three True or False postcards consists of a question. The theme of the clue, in this case, is a choice between 'Fire or Power'. This name is only used to indicate the choices, and not hint to the answer (not even a picture on the back). The question, in this example, asks teams whether or not snails have teeth. Depending on the group's answer, will instruct teams of their choice between either the 'True' postcard or the 'False' one. This is confirmed by the additional 'note' provided at the base of the clue. The question in this example is 'True'.

The 'True'  postcard is also branded with the theme 'Fire or Power'. This clue is the 'Fire' component of the True or False, and in collaboration with the word 'Grove', asks teams to travel to the Fire Grove in Kings Park. 'Mt Eliza' in this clue is the name of the mountain in this area and the picture (above) helps teams as it shows the DNA Tower, an iconic landmark in King's Park. The picture is of the DNA Tower, and as clues are only located with in 3 metres of the photograph (pictured above), teams would discover their next postcard near the Fire Grove. The 'note' on the postcard indicates the speed limit in the area, specifically 40 km/h. As this 'True'  postcard is the correct answer, teams would find their next clue at this location.

'Fire or Power' also appears on the 'False'  postcard. In this example, the word 'Power' is a clue to it's location, specifically the 'Western' Power Parklands, also in King's Park (only 1.3 kilometres from the 'True' postcard. The blatant clues, namely 'Western' and 'King's Park' help in the quick deciphering of this postcard, it is the exact location that is the trick. The picture (above) is that of the Zamia Cafe, and as the Clue is located with in 3 metres of where the photograph was taken, teams would discover their next postcard near the Energy Ball situated in the park. This clue is, however, a 'False'  postcard, and as the answer to the True or False is 'True', teams would not discover anything at this location. The 'note' on this postcard, also indicates the speed limit of 40 km/h in this area .
