Maths Games

 

 

·        Vote and Graph it
Have the children vote for their favourite “Snow Queen” animal and graph the results. Which animals did most children like the best?

 

·        Would a snowman/thylacine/wolf be a good pet?
Have the children vote if a ……… would be a good pet. Record the results on a graph. What is the result? Discuss with the children that a ……… would not be a good pet and reasons why. I.e. might melt, have claws, etc.

 

·        Animal Shape Hop
Cut out large animal shapes from coloured paper. Laminate them and cut them out. Place them on the floor and ask the children to hop from one shape to another. These may also be used at seat markers for group time.

 

·        Polar Animal Sizing
Cut out many different sized animals. Ask the children to line up the animals from largest to smallest.

 

·        What time is it Mr Fox?
Played like What time is it Mr. Wolf?
